- The Canada Public Transit Fund has been announced. There are three streams:
- Metro-Region Agreements (Open for EOI)
- Baseline Funding (Open for EOI)
- Targeted Funding [Comprised of the current Zero Emission Transit Fund (Open), Rural Transit Solutions Fund (Open) and Active Transportation Fund]
- Green and Inclusive Community Buildings Program has re-opened.
- Information sessions available.
- The governments of Canada and Nova Scotia have finalized a new Canada Community-Building Fund agreement. $318 million in allocation-based funding for communities over the next five years.

- Details
- Zero Emissions Vehicle Infrastructure Program has re-opened.
- National Anti-Racism Fund, Event and Youth Initiative Grant is open.
- Access to Justice in Both Official Languages Support Fund is open.

Housing Accelerator Fund Re-Opens
- Details
- The Housing Accelerator Fund has re-opened for round two of applications.
- New funding is available for previous applicants only.
- Information session on July 23rd regarding changes to the program.
Employment Opportunities & Trails Update
- Details
- Sustainable Jobs Stream - Canadian Apprenticeship Strategy - Union Training and Innovation Program is open.
- Information sessions available.
- Two delivery organizations are accepting applications for the Science Horizons Youth Internship Program.
- Recreation Trail Expansion and Off-Highway Infrastructure Fund will open in September.
Three Funding Opportunities Open
- Details
- Green Industrial Facilities and Manufacturing Program is opening for both municipally-owned utilities and wastewater treatment facilities. Can be used for:
- Invest in energy management training;
- Conduct energy assessments and audits;
- Hire or retain energy managers;
- Implement energy management systems; and
- Invest in energy efficiency-focused capital retrofits in existing facilities.
- Digital Museums grants are open for 2024.
- The Intersectoral Action Fund is open.
Low Carbon Communities EOI Extended
- Details
The Low Carbon Communities expression of Interest (EOI) is now due on July 05, 2024 (11:59 PM).
Local Leadership for Climate Adaptation
- Details
- New Funding opportunity under the Green Municipal Fund, Local Leadership for Climate Adaptation.
- Adaptation in Action stream. Deadline August 14.
- Implementation projects (Capital projects. 60-100% of costs, up to $1M.)
- Feasibility studies (80-100% of costs up to $70k)
- Capacity Development Partner Grants. Deadline August 7.
- Helping local governments advance knowledge of climate adaptation.
- Includes retroactive funding for grant writing.
- Adaptation in Action stream. Deadline August 14.
