Civil Forfeiture Grant Program: Provincial one-time funding supporting victims of crime and crime prevention initiatives across Nova Scotia, funded from forfeited property seized by law enforcement.
Deadline: Applications accepted on rolling basis.
Crime Prevention Community Grant: Provincial funding up to $12,000 annually for youth-directed crime prevention programs supporting recreational, educational, and after-school programming.
Deadline: 2025-26 intake is closed (late applications typically considered if funding is available). Future intakes are expected but not yet announced.
Now Open! Community Facility Repair Grants
Details
Applications are now open for:
Community ACCESS-Ability Program: The program offers provincial grants covering up to two-thirds of eligible accessibility upgrades (to a maximum of $50,000) for community facilities, including improvements to the built environment, transportation, communications and assistive devices. Eligible applicants include municipalities, non-profits and registered charities.
Deadline: February 14, 2026, 11:59 PM.
Community Facilities Improvement Program: The program provides support for repairs and improvements to existing community facilities, including building exteriors, interior features and energy-efficiency upgrades. Non-profits and registered charities are eligible.

UPDATE! Habitat Stewardship Program (HSP) & New Buildings Call under the Energy Innovation Program
Details
The 2026–2027 Call for Applications under the Habitat Stewardship Program is now open. The HSP provides funding to help Canadians contribute to the recovery of species at risk listed under the Species at Risk Act or designated by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada.
Expression of Interest (EOI) deadline: October 15, 2025.
Application deadline: November 13, 2025.
Natural Resources Canada will launch a new Buildings Call – Prefabrication Design Challenge and Demonstration Prize under the Energy Innovation Program in Winter 2026. The program will:
Support innovation in offsite and prefabricated construction methods
