- New funding opportunities added to the database:
- Funding for Indigenous Housing: CMHC and Indigenous Services Canada offer a comprehensive suite of grants, forgivable loans, wage subsidies and contributions to support Indigenous-led housing projects. Continuous intake.
- Infrastructure for Housing Initiative: The Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) offers low-cost, long-term financing (not a grant!) for municipalities and Indigenous governments to build or expand essential infrastructure (water, wastewater, roads, transit, energy and broadband). Continuous intake.
- NEW! Two RBC funding programs added to database:
- RBC Community Investment Funding Streams: Flexible, high-value grants for community projects in economic development, climate action, and more. Funding up to $2.5M.
- RBC Foundation Community Infrastructure Fund: Substantial capital funding for construction, retrofits and accessibility upgrades to community-use spaces. Grants range from $25,000 to $2.5M.
- In honour of the 35th anniversary of the end of the Gulf War, Veterans Affairs Canada has introduced a Persian Gulf Veterans stream within the Commemorative Partnership Program. Eligible projects may receive up to $25,000.
- The call for applications for the First Nation–Municipal Community Economic Development Initiative has been extended to September 26, 2025.
- Natural Resources Canada will launch a new AI and Energy Call for Proposals under the Energy Innovation Program in Fall 2025. This call will support Canadian projects that use artificial intelligence (AI) to:
- Reduce the operational costs of energy
- Improve system effectiveness
- Discover low-cost and efficient energy materials
- The federal Energy Innovation Program (EIP) is hosting live virtual sessions where program officials will share tips on how to prepare and submit strong applications. Q&A included.
- The Marine Debris Clean-Up Program has updated deadlines across its three funding streams:
- Shoreline Clean-up Stream – Now open! Deadline: February 1, 2026
- Marine Debris and Litter Prevention & Litter Recycling Streams – Second application deadline (pending funding availability): August 30, 2025
