- New funding opportunities added to the database:
- TD Ready Commitment: TD Bank Group provides community funding from $1,000 to over $1M for initiatives under four drivers: Connected Communities, Vibrant Planet, Financial Security and Better Health. Deadline: Applications accepted year-round, reviewed quarterly.
- Atlantic Lottery – Community Initiatives Sponsorship: Sponsorship support for festivals, cultural celebrations and civic/charitable events across Atlantic Canada. Funding typically starts at $2,500. Quarterly deadlines: Dec 1, Mar 1, Jun 1, Sep 1.
- Growth and Renewal for Infrastructure Development Program (Department of Municipal Affairs) is now open.
- Application Deadline: October 9, 2025.
- New funding opportunities added to the database. Not directly applicable for municipalities, but could be useful if they partner with local nonprofits or community and cultural groups:
- Culture Innovation Fund: Supports innovative arts, culture and heritage projects that strengthen organizational capacity and enhance community access. Up to $50,000 available. Continuous intake.
- Affordable Housing Development Program: Funds new affordable rental housing through construction, conversions or preservation of vacant multi-unit buildings. Continuous intake.
- Community Housing Infrastructure and Repair Program: Offers forgivable loans for capital repairs to preserve affordable units in co-operative and non-profit housing. Continuous intake.
- Homelessness Reduction Innovation Fund added to the database. Funds innovative, community-driven projects that pilot, test and scale new solutions to reduce or prevent homelessness in Canada.
- Application Deadline: August 15, 2025
- The call for applications for the National Anti-Racism Fund (Project Grants stream) has been extended to August 29, 2025.
- NEW! Indigenous Participant Funding Program – Policy-Based Component added to the database. The program provides grants to support Indigenous participation in policy consultations related to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act (CNWA) and the Wrecked, Abandoned or Hazardous Vessels Act (WAHVA).
- Grant Amount: Up to $4,000 for a single organization, up to $7,500 for group applications
- Deadline: Applications accepted on a rolling basis
- UPDATE! The Atlantic Salmon Conservation funding program is now open. Funding is available for a wide range of conservation activities, including habitat restoration, monitoring, education and stewardship projects in Atlantic Canada.
- Application Deadline: November 14, 2025
