CanExport Community Investments: Supports Canadian communities in attracting, retaining and expanding foreign direct investment. Funding covers up to 50% of eligible costs, from $3,000 to $500,000 per project. Deadline: January 5–30, 2026 (for 2026–27 projects).
AMANS Equity, Anti-racism and Accessibility Grant: Up to $1,500 per municipality or village to implement action items from approved Equity, Anti-Racism and Accessibility Plans. First-come, first-served until program funds are allocated.
Assess and Retrofit stream of the Green Freight Program is open. Deadline: Continuous Intake.

Community Network Grant (2025–26): Up to $40,000 for community projects that challenge hate and reduce barriers. Municipalities cannot apply as leads but may participate through eligible partners. Deadline: October 31, 2025.

Cyber Security Cooperation Program – New to the Database! Provides time-limited grants to strengthen Canada’s cyber resilience, including municipal cyber-security projects.

Powering the Future: Solid-State Hydrogen Storage for Military Platforms – New to the Database! Competitive funding challenge through Defence IDEaS to develop safe and efficient hydrogen storage technologies. Municipalities are eligible but best positioned through partnerships with local research institutions or companies.

Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund (CHIF) – Coming Soon! A new 10-year federal-provincial funding agreement with $171 million in federal support for Nova Scotia. CHIF will fund housing and enabling infrastructure such as water and wastewater systems.
Federal share: up to 40%
Provincial share: up to 33.33%
Notably, CHIF allows 100% federal stacking, unlike previous programs.
