E-911 Cost Recovery (Provincial) *
Number of Vacancies : 1 elected official
About the E-911 Cost Recovery Committee:
The objective of this committee is to advise the Minister respecting the administration of the collection and remittance of the E911 cost recover fee and the administration of the distribution of the money from the Fund for the provision of E911 Services.
Committee members should have an awareness of cost recovery and funding distribution mechanisms

Property Valuation Services Corporation Board (Deadline extended to February 14)
Number of Vacancies: 2 elected officials
About the Board:
The Board of Directors oversees the strategic direction of the organization and ensures accountability to the municipalities and property owners of Nova Scotia. A strong, strategic Board is critical to achieving organizational goals and guiding our direction. The Board includes municipal officials, members with municipal experience, independent members and the CEO of NSFM as a non-voting member, as set out in the Property Valuation Services Corporation Act.

Climate Change Advisory Committee *
Number of Vacancies: 3 elected officials, 1 CAO
About the Climate Change Committee:
Municipalities can play a pivotal role in mitigating and adapting to climate change. This Advisory Committee will review issues brought forward to NSFM related to sustainable development, energy production, biodiversity, and adaptation planning.
Sample Issues: Coastal land use planning, municipal climate change adaptation, community planning with a climate lens.

Municipal Infrastructure Committee *
Number of vacancies: 4 elected officials
About the Municipal Infrastructure Committee:
Municipalities are charged with building and maintaining a majority of Canadian public infrastructure. This Advisory Committee will review issues brought forward to NSFM related to asset management, infrastructure deficits, and maintenance costs.
Sample Issues: Road infrastructure, ownership, and maintenance. Offshore wind energy development. Infrastructure deficits and asset management.

Municipal Group Insurance Oversight Committee *
Number of vacancies: 2 elected officials
About the Municipal Group Insurance Oversight Committee:
This committee will provide the forum for stakeholders to come together, explore issues and challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and make recommendations that will lead to a group insurance program that meets the needs of municipalities throughout the province.
